Woj: Former Musketeer Sumner Signs with Hornets
Former Xavier guard and NBA Veteran Edmond Sumner signed a one-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Sumner will be attempting to make the roster as a backup to guard LaMelo Ball. Last season, Sumner spent the year with the Brooklyn Nets playing 53 games, and starting 12 for the team. Sumner spent the first four seasons of his NBA Career as a member of the Indiana Pacers before missing the 2022 season after tearing his achilles.
Sumner spent 3 seasons at Xavier, playing in 58 total games, starting 49 of them. and was awarded Big East All-Freshman in the 2016 season.
