Xavier defeated Cincinnati tonight, 84-79, to give the Bearcats their first loss of the season.

Cincinnati was led by Jizzle James (19 points), John Newman (18 pts, 8 rbs), Vik Lakhin (17 pts, 8 rbs), and Day Day Thomas (15 pts).

Quincy Olivari led Xavier with 27 points, making 6-of-6 shots from outside for 20 second half points.
