Rated an 88 by 247sports, Kontosis hauled in 52 passes for 1,065 yards, 11 touchdowns in just eight games during his junior season.
The Rock Creek Christian (MD) product chose the Bearcats over finalists Indiana, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, and the local choice, Maryland.
Michigan State, Oregon, South Carolina, and West Virginia were others involved in the recruitment of one of the best prospects in the state of Maryland.
When you turn on the film, it easy to see why Kontosis was coveted by high level programs. At 6-foot-1 and pushing 200 pounds, Geo is a big, strong bodied receiver who shows the ability to beat the defense deep, but also has the ability to extend plays with his route running and awareness to improvise and become an option during quarterback scramble situations. A willing blocker, the Maryland product displayed good foot work in start-stop situations and shows good burst in the open field after making a catch.
Kontosis, who is the third highest rated commit in the class, joins four-star wide receiver Mikkel Skinner, tight end Kamaurri Smith, quarterback Zeb Kinsey, and running back Zion Johnson on the offensive side of the ball in the Bearcats' 2025 class.
