2025 Huber Heights Wayne WR/TE Kamaurri Smith commits to Cincinnati

Scott Satterfield and his staff received their first 2025 football commitment on Wednesday when Huber Heights Wayne tight end-wide receiver Kamuarri Smith made it official that he was locked in with the Bearcats.

Smith is currently unranked but held reported offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Purdue, and Rutgers, among others. Kamaurri was on Penn State's campus this past week end to take in their match up against Michigan.

When you turn on the film, it is easy to see why the Cincinnati coaching staff likes Smith and offered back in June. He already has next level size at 6-foot-5 200 pounds but he also shows versatility to be used in multiple ways. He is a willing blocker and used well in wide receiver screens but also has the ability to play as an inline tight end at the next level in the run game. His junior season was cut short due to injury but he showed good route running on short and intermediate routes and finished with 17 catches for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Overall, this is a good start to the class for the Bearcats. You can never have too much length and athleticism in skill positions on the offensive side of the ball. This commitment addresses that need in the passing and run game.
