Cincinnati To Play in College Basketball Crown

Following a second-round exit in the Big 12 tournament after a 76-56 loss to Iowa State, Cincinnati's season will continue with an appearance in the Inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament.

UC was not one of the 68 teams selected to compete in the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday after losing four of their final five games, including a 1-1 finish in the Big 12 Tournament.

The Bearcats will meet Depaul on April 1st at 3 pm in the opening round of the event, held in Las Vegas. The two teams have not met since 2013 when both were members of the Big East Conference.

The first two rounds of the event will be held March 31st through April 3rd at the MGM Garden Arena. Should Cincinnati win their first game, they would meet the winner of UCF/Oregon State.

The semi-finals and finals of the event will be held April 5th and April 6th at T-Mobile Arena. All games will be on FS1 and Fox.

With the transfer portal opening March 24th, it will be interesting to see what the roster looks like and which players are available for the tournament.

Full bracket can be seen below.
