Cincinnati Assistant Drew Adams leaving for Indiana

Sources confirmed Monday that Cincinnati basketball assistant Drew Adams is planning to leave the Bearcats' program to take a similar role at Indiana under new Head Coach Darian DeVries.

 

Adams helped with the recruitments of Aziz Bandaogo, Simas Lukosius, and Connor Hickman on this past seasons' roster.

 

A Bloomington, IN native, Adams' has deep ties to the Hoosier state, with his dad also running the Adidas bases Indiana Elite basketball program. 

 

"Drew is one of the brightest young minds in college basketball," Cincinnati head coach Wes Miller said when Adams was initially added to his staff prior to last sesaon. "His experience in operations, recruiting and coaching at the highest level – including multiple NCAA Tournament bids and conference championships at several different elite programs – has given him an impressive resume and the skills to come into Cincinnati and immediately make us better in every facet of our program."

 

Prior to Cincinnati, Adams spent seven seasons as an assistant at Bradley. 

 

UC will open the Crown Basketball Tournament Tuesday night in Las Vegas against Depaul.
