Cincinnati adds pair of transfers

Cincinnati added to their line depth on both sides of the ball with the transfer commitments of Xavier Lozowicki and Cam Roetherford.

Lozowicki, a 6-foot-6, 300 pound offensive lineman from Maine, chose the Bearcats over offers and interest from Mississippi State, Miami (FL), Kansas State, USC, West Virginia, BYU, and Vanderbilt, among others.

A member of the 2023 class, Lozowicki played his senior season at national powerhouse IMG Academy.

Lozowicki spent time at right guard, left guard, and left tackle during his freshman season at Maine and did not allow a single pressure or sack in 243 total snaps. In 166 pass blocking snaps, Lozowicki recorded the No. 1 pass blocking grade in FCS at 98.5.

Roetherford, who played at the same high school as Sauce Gardner (Detroit Martin Luther King), is a 6-foot-4 293 pound defensive lineman from Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

During his sophomore season, Roetherford recorded 27 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and also forced a fumble.

After hitting the transfer portal, Roetherford was offered by Cincinnati, Old Dominion, and Marshall, with interest from Pitt, Virginia Tech, and LSU.

Both come to Cincinnati with three years of eligibility remaining.
