Big 12 Tournament: Cincinnati falls to Texas Tech, 10-5

Following a thrilling 8-7 win over Texas on Wednesday, the Bearcats' Big 12 Tournament run came to an end on Thursday at Globe Life Field, as Texas Tech defeated UC 10-5. 

The Red Raiders scored three runs in the first inning and five in the second to take a commanding 8-0 lead after two innings. 

Catcher Alec Jones finished 3-for-4 with four runs batted in, including a two-run homerun, to lead the Bearcats. Jones homered again in the bottom of the ninth to make it 10-5.

The rest of the lineup went a combined 2-for-27 as UC managed just five hits in the loss. 

UC finishes the season 32-25 and will now have to wait and see if they are selected for the NCAA Tournament on Monday at noon.
