2025 Dyersburg (TN) Guard Joya Crawford commits to the Bearcats
On Sunday afternoon, Katrina Merriweather improved to 11-0 all time against Xavier as a player and coach with a 69-47 win over the Bearcats' crosstown rival.
On Monday night, Merriweather and her staff picked up a commitment from 2025 Dyersburg (TN) combo guard Joya Crawford.

Crawford has been recruited by the Cincinnati women's staff for 2 years, going back to their days at Memphis.
At 5-foot-8, Crawford has the ability to finish at the rim or beat a team from outside. The crafty guard has already reached 1,000 points for her career and is coming off a season in which she averaged 21 points per game on 44% shooting, while also connecting on 60 3-pointers.
Prep Girls Hoops rates Crawford as the 11th best prospect in the state of Tennessee for 2025 but she is widely regarded as one of the best offensive players in the state, regardless of class.
As a sophomore, Crawford was named the State Gazette Offensive Player of the Year after leading her team to an Elite 8 appearance.

Great talent who will be equipped to make a run at a state title and Miss Tennessee nomination."
Crawford joins 5'9 Briarcrest Christian (TN) PG Paige Whitted in Cincinnati's 2025 class.
With Duncanville (TX) guard Chloe Mann already in the fold for the class of 2024 and Cincinnati in on other high level players in the class of 2025, it is starting to become evident that Merriweather and her staff are in the process of building a high level roster.
